Something I did for design class last year. Just thought I'd upload it.

Photoshop/Indesign as usual.

New stuff :D

Nice clean layout. The alignment of some things seem a bit off though. 'Can the' seems a little off centre to me, at least with the logo below.

Also, the headers and captions should probably either been the same (drop shadow strength, point size etc.) or more different. Looking at other covers, the headers are all the same style, or they make it a point to make them very different through colour, point size and so on. They're just a little too similar in this, if that makes any sense.

Could have been interesting to use a colour other than purple for all the page references.

Is that the old style of design for the title? Never read the mag, so searched for some covers and it looks like they've recently updated the style.

Cools stuff though. Magazines are always fun to do. What's on your plate at the moment?

Looks sharp. Somehow the colours and contrast seem crisper. A few little things I just noticed then - the space after the header is inconsistent. This is one thing that should probably remain the same. The Windows 7 article header could probably do with a bit more space after it. The iPhone article looks just about right. This is where paragraph styles make things easy and really quick.

Everything sits a lot better now, and things look a lot more balanced also. Nice one!

I have a newer version but it's at school and I can't access it now (I will be able to Wednesday) I'll be sure to update this when I can.

I haven't been doing much designing lately, I've been kept busy with school work (trying desperately to up my grades before I apply to college next year.) :headache:
